Transportation in Liechtenstein

Liechtenstein's road network consists of around 120 km of roads for which the country is responsible. In addition, the eleven municipalities maintain a further 260 km of roads, which are used daily not only by local vehicles but also by numerous commuters and visitors. However, the volume of traffic is only high on the main roads and at the peak times caused by the start and end of the working day.
LIEmobil bus service
To relieve the pressure on private transport, Liechtenstein has so far relied on a well-developed public bus network. From double buses at rush hour to shortened buses for narrow mountain roads and barrier-free travel - LIEmobil covers everything and gets passengers from A to B safely and reliably. The timetable is generous and the Swiss railroad stations of Sargans and Buchs as well as the railroad station in Feldkirch, Austria, are served regularly.

        Bicycle & e-bike sharing
Idyllic cycle paths through all eleven municipalities in the country characterize Liechtenstein's well-developed cycle network. There are well-maintained cycle paths for cross-border commuters and easy routes for leisure cyclists as well as challenging routes for trained touring cyclists. The cycle paths are well signposted and embedded in an impressive landscape.
LIEbike e-bike sharing
Around 70 e-bikes are available for hire. Whether it's a quick trip from A to B, the "last mile" from the bus stop to work or just for a ride in between - the LIEbike bike rental system offers high-quality bikes for comfortable, ecological and healthy transportation at various locations.
