Commuter between work and riding stable - her passion for horsepower

Sarah Neier lives in Lustenau - and her enthusiasm for horsepower has been with her since her youth. Whether on four wheels or four hooves, she has always been fascinated by engines and speed. However, her professional career took her on a circuitous route to a goal that she had already fancied as a teenager: today she is Head of Scheduling at Max Heidegger AG and ensures that the right cars are in the right place at the right time.

"I originally trained as a restaurant specialist, but six years ago I felt the need for a change and a new challenge," she explains. "I wanted to take a completely new path again. It was difficult for me, but I sold my first horse at the time in order to complete my evening school-leaving certificate and change careers. I worked in an office in the sales department, then in online marketing and finally as a customer service assistant at a car dealership in Vorarlberg. The change to dispatching came from a recommendation from my line manager at the time. Two and a half years ago, I applied for a job at Max Heidegger AG in Triesen and was accepted. I now work here as head of scheduling - and I've found the job that suits me perfectly," says Sarah Neier.

Planning from Lustenau to Triesen: From the way to work to the job

"I live in Lustenau, just two minutes from the Swiss highway, and commute to Triesen by car every day. Sure, the traffic can be a challenge, but for a job that I enjoy so much, I'm happy to put up with it. What's more, with a little planning you can avoid a lot of stress - if I'm not driving during rush hour, the commute is a good opportunity to structure my day mentally.

As a vehicle dispatcher, I work in the background to ensure that the sales process runs smoothly - right through to the delivery of the vehicle," explains Sarah Neier. "I take care of car orders, changes, purchase and sales invoices as well as premium submissions - in other words, all the important tasks that enable a structured and successful vehicle sales process..."

Her responsibility for delivery dates is particularly important. "If a delivery is delayed, I find a solution. And if the worst-case scenario occurs - for example, an unexpected delay in transit - then I have to act quickly and organize.

I work in a small but powerful team and also have an apprentice in my team. At BMW, top quality counts - and that also means that deadlines and schedules have to be met exactly. Everything has to be right, from order allocation to price adjustments. Six colleagues work in sales - and then there's me," she laughs. "In scheduling, I pull all the strings together in the background - with an eye for the big picture and an eye for detail!"

Two horses and a passion for speed

In addition to her work at Max Heidegger AG, Sarah Neier loves to spend her free time with her horses. From an early age, she was regularly at the stables with her parents - her love of horses has been with her ever since.

"Today I own two horses and take part in amateur competitions. It's a big challenge and requires a lot of patience and time. After work, I go to the stables in Rankweil every day. It's a fixed routine for me. I regularly take part in dressage and show jumping training with both horses. A leisurely round in the field is also a must. It's very time-consuming, but incredibly fulfilling. I also have two dogs that stay with my mother during the day. I pick them up in the evening and take them for a walk.

A very special experience: on the race track in Mallorca

A great highlight for me was the invitation from Jakob W. Heidegger and Sales Manager Michael Frei to Mallorca to drive the new Alpinas B3 GT and B4 GT on the racetrack. I love fast cars, and this was simply a mega experience," she enthuses. "It was a huge adrenaline rush, and from lap to lap I became safer and faster. My co-driver had a lot of experience and gave me great advice and tips. It was an unforgettable experience.

I feel that I am in good hands at the family company Max Heidegger AG. I appreciate the short lines of communication and the flat hierarchies. It's a great working environment and I look forward to working here every day."
