Liechtenstein government visits Vorarlberg

At the traditional meeting with the state government of Vorarlberg, Liechtenstein's government visited Bregenz on Tuesday, September 23, 2025, at the invitation of Governor Markus Wallner.

During a working meeting, the members of both executives discussed topics including security, the further development of the Schaanwald customs office, wind energy and the pilot test of a night-time driving ban for trucks on the L191 in Feldkirch.

During the meeting, Prime Minister Brigitte Haas and Governor Markus Wallner emphasized the importance of an institutionalized exchange between the state governments of the two neighbors: "Liechtenstein and Vorarlberg are not only linked by a close, friendly relationship, but also by a multitude of mutually relevant topics and shared challenges. By regularly exchanging information, we create the basis for joint answers to pressing questions."

Governor Markus Wallner, State Governor Christof Bitschi, State Councillors Barbara Schöbi-Fink and Martina Rüscher, State Councillors Marco Tittler, Daniel Allgäuer and State Office Director Philipp Abbrederis attended on behalf of Vorarlberg. Liechtenstein was represented by Head of Government Brigitte Haas, Government Councillors Daniel Oehry, Hubert Büchel and Emanuel Schädler, Government Secretary Michael Hasler and Ambassador Simon Biedermann.
