Processes in view, nature at heart

Four years at Ivoclar and recently team leader - I am Petra Kocianova and I was given responsibility for Global Process Care CRM at the beginning of June 2024. In my team, we work on international projects and support the implementation of global processes in sales. Our aim is to ensure that our processes are efficient at all Ivoclar locations and that the same standards are applied everywhere. Close cooperation with global IT is an important part of our work. The variety of tasks and regular communication with different stakeholders from Sales, IT and Marketing make my job particularly varied and exciting.

I'm originally from the #Czech Republic, but I've been living in the Rhine Valley for over 12 years - currently in #Feldkirch. My commute to work in #Schaan is varied: whether by car, train or bike. At the moment, however, I'm not cycling because I'm pregnant. But I've always really enjoyed it and I'm already looking forward to going on the occasional extra ride after work, such as to the Gafadura hut.

On my way to or from work, I like to listen to podcasts or enjoy the beautiful landscape, which has its own special features in every season. This turns my commute into a relaxing journey of discovery that helps me to find a balance between work and leisure. The proximity to nature makes our region something very special. Our workspaces at #Ivoclar give me a view of the Swiss mountains, and when things get a little stressful, a glance out of the window helps me to relax for a moment and refocus.

I really appreciate the corporate culture at Ivoclar. That was also one of the reasons why I applied for a job here. The good reputation that precedes the company was confirmed to me: The hierarchies are flat, and the values such as "respect", "smile" and family-like cooperation are not just proclaimed to the outside world, they are lived. Communication and the meeting culture are very open. You can talk to anyone, receive support and are always treated with respect. Another aspect of my work that I really like is the innovative and international environment. When defining processes, it is important to know the local structures and conditions. That's why we go to the different countries and get our bearings from the local teams. This helps with optimization and makes our work interesting and varied.

Another highlight at Ivoclar is the food. There is an excellent restaurant in the new main building in Schaan, the quality of which is so high that I often find it difficult to find other restaurants just as good after eating here. The beautifully presented dishes and the varied and diverse offerings - from starters to desserts - make every meal a special treat. This first-class catering contributes to a positive working atmosphere and is definitely an added advantage.

Basically, #Liechtenstein and #Vorarlberg are similar in their landscape and mentality. What I personally particularly like is that Liechtenstein is a little less touristy than Vorarlberg. I particularly like that when hiking. I am also very active in other ways: my hobbies are traveling, foreign languages, exercise and sport. In winter, I love cross-country skiing. That's why I love the cross-country skiing Mecca in Liechtenstein, Steg/Valüna. It's a real insider tip. I often go to Steg after work and enjoy a few laps of the track in the floodlights - it's simply wonderful.
