A journey from the Pacific to the Rhine Valley

When I first looked out over the #RhineValley from #Vancouver - virtually, of course - I could hardly imagine that this idyllic spot would soon be my new home. The job interviews took place via video conferencing.
The decision to move my life from the big city to the gentle slopes of the Alps was anything but easy. Vancouver had offered me a lot: professional challenges, cultural diversity and the breathtaking nature of #Canada. But #Liechtenstein promised something new, something that appealed to me in a completely different way. The idea of working in an international company where working with clients and consultants from all over the world was part of everyday life made me want a change.
The move to the Rhine Valley not only brought with it a new job at First Advisory, but also a wealth of new impressions and experiences. The variety of services, the opportunity to take my own initiatives and the openness within the company were exactly what I was looking for. Here I found a professional environment that not only gave me room to develop, but also encouraged me to think beyond company boundaries.
The further training in asset management at the IFZ in Zug was another milestone in my professional journey. It not only opened up new perspectives for me, but also showed me that First Advisory really takes the personal development of its employees seriously. This enabled me to further deepen my knowledge and broaden my horizons - an important aspect alongside my specialization in tax law.
But it wasn't just professionally that I found my place in Liechtenstein. The majestic Alpine landscape, the modern office buildings harmoniously embedded in nature and the blend of tradition and modernity fascinated me from the very beginning. It is a unique combination of tranquillity and dynamism that makes the Principality so special. Although I appreciate the vibrancy and diversity of a metropolis like Vancouver, the Rhine Valley has its own incomparable charm that inspires me anew every day.
The short commute to work from #Switzerland allows me to make the most of my free time. Whether jogging along the Rhine, playing tennis or making music at the Liechtenstein Music School - I enjoy actively integrating my hobbies into my everyday life. Nature and the numerous sports opportunities in the region offer me a perfect balance to my working life. At weekends, I explore the hiking trails in and around Liechtenstein, go cross-country skiing in the Engadin, spend a few days in South Tyrol or visit my family in Germany. This diversity and the proximity to so many different cultures and landscapes make life here particularly valuable for me.
Liechtenstein may seem small on the map, but for me it has become a large, multifaceted center of life - a place that ideally combines professional fulfillment and personal satisfaction.
