The situation on the labor market in November 2025
At the end of November, 425 people were registered as unemployed with the Liechtenstein Employment Service (AMS FL). The unemployment rate thus rose from 1.9% in October to 2% in the month under review. Compared with the same month last year, the unemployment rate increased by 0.2 percentage points.
Youth unemployment
Youth unemployment (15 to 24-year-olds) rose by 9 people compared to the previous month to 45. Compared to the same month last year, unemployment fell by 1 person. The youth unemployment rate is 2% (previous month: 1.6%). Compared to the same month last year, the rate fell by 0.1 percentage points.
Other age groups
In the 25-49 age group, unemployment rose by 10 people compared to the previous month to 234. This corresponds to a rate of 2.1% (previous month: 2%).
In the 50+ age group, unemployment fell by 12 people compared to the previous month to 146. This corresponds to a rate of 1.8% (previous month: 1.9%).
Persons in interim employment
At the end of November, 77 people were engaged in supplementary employment. This figure represents an increase of one person compared with the previous month. Compared with the same month last year, this corresponds to an increase of four people. Supplementary employment refers to any income from self-employed or employed work that results in the suspension or reduction of unemployment benefits.
Dynamics of inflows and outflows at AMS FL
The number of new registrations with AMS FL in the reporting month was 81. This is 16 more than in the previous month. The number of departures was 83. This is 16 more than in the previous month.
Registered vacancies
The number of job vacancies registered with AMS FL stands at 883, compared to 862 in the previous month.
Short-time work
During the reporting month, five companies were entitled to compensation for economically induced short-time work.
