The situation on the labor market in August 2025
        
        At the end of August, 415 people were registered as unemployed with the Arbeitsmarkt Service Liechtenstein (AMS FL). At 1.9%, the unemployment rate remained unchanged in August compared to the previous month. Compared to the same month last year, the unemployment rate increased by 0.2 percentage points.
Youth unemployment
Youth unemployment (15 to 24-year-olds) increased by 4 people compared to the previous month to 39. Compared to the same month last year, the number increased by 6 people. The youth unemployment rate is 1.8% (previous month: 1.6%). Compared to the same month last year, the rate increased by 0.3 percentage points.
Other age groups
In the 25-49 age group, unemployment increased by 2 people to 216, which corresponds to a rate of 2% (previous month: 1.9%).
Unemployment in the 50-plus age group remained unchanged at 160 people. This corresponds to a rate of 1.9% (previous month: 1.9%).
Persons in interim employment
73 people were in interim employment at the end of August. Compared to the previous month, this figure was down by 6 people. Compared to the same month last year, this also corresponds to a reduction of 6 people. Any income from self-employment or employment is regarded as interim earnings, which also suspends or reduces the receipt of daily unemployment benefits.
Dynamics of inflows and outflows at AMS FL
The number of new entries at the AMS FL in the month under review amounted to 60 people. This is 17 people fewer than in the previous month. The number of people leaving amounted to 68. This corresponds to 11 more people than in the previous month.
Registered vacancies
The number of vacancies registered with the AMS FL is 851 compared to 874 in the previous month.
Short-time work
In the month under review, 4 companies are entitled to compensation due to economically induced short-time working.
